Judy Clement-Lee named "Sweet Adeline of the Year"
Each year the Vallee de Croix Chorus, honors one chorus member, who, during the past year has devoted their time and talent to the betterment of the chorus.
This year, past Vallee de Croix Sweet Adeline of the Year recipients, chose to honor Judy Clement-Lee with the 2013 Sweet Adeline of the Year award.
Clement-Lee has been a chorus member since November of 2005, and at the "helm" as chorus president since 2011, when the chorus changed from management team to a board of director's format.
Under Clement-Lee's leadership, the chorus smoothly and successfully made the transaction, with a few "bumps" in the road.
When Clement-Lee first joined the chorus, a long time member said to her "your life will never be the same." She didn't realize how true the statement would be.
Clement-Lee is also an active member in another Sweet Adeline Chorus, the Twin Cities Show Chorus. She is a retired high school Social Studies teacher from River Falls, and uses her experiences to keep her chorus life, home life, grandchildren, playing bridge and position as a Clifton Town Board member and Plan Commission member in balance.
Clement-Lee and her husband LeRoy Lee, enjoy spending time dancing, attending grandchildren's functions and traveling.
Clement-Lee said: "When I was teaching I didn't have time to join a chorus. Joining Vallee de Croix has been a fulfillment of a long time dream. The bonus is sharing the dream with wonderful chorus members."
