Joel Kasper Velure, age 23, of River Falls, Wis., died Saturday, May 18, as the result of an auto accident.
Joel was born April 6, 1990, in River Falls, the son of Tom and Toni (Kasper) Velure.
He was a graduate of River Falls High School and was currently employed by Capital Safety in Red Wing, Minn.
Joel enjoyed fishing, snowboarding, cooking, listening to music, reading, spending time with his friends and dressing up for Halloween. He was artistic and he had an appreciation for others artistic abilities. Joel loved playing with his nephews and was an avid Packer fan.
He will be sadly missed by his mom and dad, Tom and Toni; brothers, Tom (Emily) Velure and Tony Velure; nephews, Greyson and Emerson; special, honorary grandma, Ethel Johnson; aunts and uncles, Shelly (Tom) Dolan, David (Nancy) Velure, Mitch (Kay) Velure, Jeff (Julie) Velure, Rosalie (Gary) Oja, Denise (Ron) Trone, Joseph Kasper, Gina (Brian) Hannu, Kathleen (Scott) Luedke, Jane Kasper, and Marilyn Kasper. Joel is further survived by many, many cousins as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Faythe Kasper and Lloyd and Rose Velure.
Services are set for Wednesday, May 22, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls. Visitation from 3-6 p.m. with a service at 6 p.m.
