Joe Spado, 64
River Falls, Wis. resident, Joe Spado, died Dec. 2, while visiting Rapid City, S.D.
His death was a result of Coronary Artery disease caused by his exposure to Agent Orange while serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
Prior to moving to River Falls he had lived in Ashland, Wis., and many places in Minnesota. He was originally from the Chicago, Ill. area.
After his military service he graduated from Metropolitan State University and had many jobs throughout the years, including counselor, teacher, Teamster and guide, to name just a few.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; daughters, Alyssa and Jayne; grandchildren, Alicia, Abby, Arianna, DJ, Lilly, and Gracie Bonin.
Waiting for him on the other side were his oldest daughter, Maggie; and his parents, Frank and Carm Spado.
Interment will be 11 a.m. May 9, 2014, at the Fort Snelling Cemetery, where he will be given full Military Honors as a decorated veteran.
Further arrangement to celebrate his life are still pending.
