On the Job: Tricia Braun
Tricia Braun, WEDC
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has named Tricia Braun as the organization’s vice president of Economic and Community Develop-ment.
Braun, who had been WEDC’s regional development and attraction director, has more than 15 years of economic development leadership experience in three states.
Before joining WEDC in November 2013, Braun was the director of economic development in Riverside, Calif., a city of more than 300,000 people, and served as community development director in Zumbrota, Minn.
A graduate of UW-River Falls, Braun also served as executive director of the River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We conducted a nationwide search to find the most qualified person to lead the WEDC team that directly works with businesses and communities to continue to grow Wisconsin’s economy,” said Reed Hall, secretary and CEO of WEDC. “Tricia not only fits that description, but she has strong ties to Wisconsin and a true understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing businesses in our state.”
“This is an exciting time for economic development in the state of Wisconsin, and I’m proud to be a part of it,” Braun said. “Every day, the WEDC staff works closely with businesses, partner organizations and communities on projects that will bring more jobs to the state, and strengthen the local, regional and state economy. I’m pleased to be able to bring my experience to WEDC to help lead that effort.”
