On the Job: Madalyn Krizek-Score and Anna Zalusky
Whole Earth Grocery announces that Madalyn Krizek-Score and Anna Zalusky have been hired as co-general managers. They began their new jobs Monday, Jan. 20.
Krizek-Score became a regular shopper at Whole Earth Grocery in 2004 as a student in the UW-River Falls English program. She has volunteered at Whole Earth Grocery in various capacities since 2005. She formerly served as the vice president of the Whole Earth Grocery Board of Directors, and now volunteers as a member of the River Falls School District Farm to School committee and as co-founder of the Local Food Partnership. Krizek-Score lives in River Falls with her husband Luke and daughters Phoenix (5) and Harper (2).
She has previously worked as a stay at home mom, an office manager at Riverside Quilting, and a supervisor at both Caribou Coffee and Starbucks.
Zalusky has lived in River Falls for most of her life. She graduated from River Falls High School, then settled in River Falls after completing a degree in Philosophy at Macalester College. She has previously worked at the Bookpress bookstore and the River Falls Public Library.
Zalusky has also been involved in several non-profit organizations. She now serves on the Board of Directors of Grow to Share, a local gardening initiative. She co-founded the Local Food Partnership, an organization dedicated to growing the local food system, and is on the steering committee for the Western Wisconsin Food Hub.
When not attending meetings relating to local food, Zalusky is often with her husband, Joe, and her children Callum (8) and Sylvia (5).
Zalusky has been employed at the Whole Earth Grocery for more than ten years, in various roles, and is thrilled to be working with Krizek-Score as Co-Manager
