John Haen, new CEO of Fiberstar, Inc.
John Haen has been hired as the new CEO and president at River Falls-based Fiberstar, Inc., 713 St. Croix St. Fiberstar’s board of directors made the announcement.
A statement from the board read: “John Haen is a proven leader with production skills, business vision and the ability to bring people together.”
Haen, originally from north of Milwaukee, will be relocating his family from Phoenix.
He most recently worked as senior vice president of food products at Richardson International, Canada’s largest agribusiness and a leader in food processing. Haen’s job was overseeing the company’s food division.
Founded in 1998, Fiberstar is described as a worldwide leader in natural, functional food ingredients and solutions that help food manufacturers realize the full potential and quality of their products.
Haen’s vision for how Fiberstar’s technologies will be used and experienced around the world comes at a critical time. The company has entered a new phase of expanded production, product innovation and growth.
Fiberstar recently completed construction of a $10.64 million plant expansion that will quadruple production in its Clewiston, Fla., facility.
Said Haen: “Fiberstar has created some great multi-functional ingredients, and I am looking forward to introducing global food manufacturers to the value propositions these products have to offer.”
Fiberstar also announced that Dale Lindquist, previously company president and CEO, will assume a new role as director of sustainable new business development. He will devote more time and needed resources to the innovation and commercialization of new bio-ingredients for Fiberstar.
