JFK intrigue: Get the scoop at the River Falls library
The 50th anniversary this month of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination has sparked renewed interest in what exactly happened.
It would seem there are as many conspiracy theories about who did it as there are stars in the sky.
Some have no basis in fact, and others…well, it kind of makes you wonder.
To help clear the air, the River Falls Public Library is hosting a presentation on the topic beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Kennedy memorabilia, including artifacts, books, newspapers, and photos will be shared by several local collectors for the first 90 minutes.
Starting at 6:30 p.m. there will be a program about Kennedy, the assassination, and various conspiracy theories presented by three local experts/enthusiasts -- Ed Vlack, Larry Bystrom and David Page.
There will be plenty of time for discussion. Bring your favorite theory along and feel free to defend it.
This free program will be held in the library’s lower level community room.
Caution: Guns and graphic images will be a part of the presentation.
There’s a second program focusing more on Kennedy’s life, presidency, and the assassination.
It will be on Saturday, Nov, 23, starting at noon with another 90-minute display. Talk by Vlack and Bystrom will begin at 1:30 p.m.
