New Richmond girl, 14, charged with attempted homicide

Injuries reported in two-car accident Thursday afternoon

Seven people were taken to area hospitals Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle accident in the town of Spring Lake. 

Pierce County Sheriff's deputy Herman Kreig reports a vehicle driven by Francis Traynor, 83, Spring Valley, collided with another vehicle driven by Jennifer Nehring, 35, Elmwood on State Highway 128 and 850th Ave. The Sheriff's Office was notified of the accident around 1:10 p.m. 

Both Traynor and Nehring were uninjured. A passenger in the Nehring vehicle, Candice Puckett, 31, Spring Valley, was transported from the scene by Spring Valley EMS with undetermined injuries. Kreig reports the remainder of the six passengers in the Nehring vehicle were children of ages two to nine and were transported from the scene by Spring Valley and Elmwood Ambulance with minor precautionary injuries to Mayo Hospital in Menomonie. 

Spring Valley and Elmwood Fire were also on scene. 

Kreig concluded by saying the accident remains under investigation.
