Hudson's mayor to run for Rhoades' seat
Hudson mayor and businessman Dean Knudson will announce his candidacy to the 30th State Assembly seat this Friday, April 23, in both River Falls and Hudson. The seat is now held by Kitty Rhoades.
Knudson will officially declare his candidacy at Air Motion Systems, 674 Highland Drive, in the city's Whitetail Ridge Corporate Park, at 9:30 a.m.
He will follow that up with an announcement in Hudson at Pier 500, 500 First St., at 11 a.m.
The public is invited to both.
Knudson is a Republican. Rhoades, also a Republican, is retiring from the state Legislature when her term expires later this year.
