Hudson area man stabbed in his kitchen
North Hudson police found a 45-year-old man on his kitchen floor with a knife in his abdoman Sunday night, Aug. 26.
An open cell phone call to 911 led police to the stabbing victim at 612 North End Road.
It was around 7:15 p.m. when police tracked the call. They found the victim, a 45-year-old male, lying on the floor of the kitchen with a knife stuck in his abdomen.
Police are not releasing the name of the man at this point in their investigation.
When NHPD Officer Robert Moody arrived on the scene, he found the front door slightly open and proceeded into the house.
He announced his presence several times before he heard a faint voice calling out to him. The victim was transported by Hudson EMS to Regions Hospital and is in stable condition.
Before being transported, the victim said he was home alone and was knocked unconscious while in the residence by an unknown assailant and woke to find a knife in his stomach.

A suspect in this case has not yet been identified, so the police are asking everyone to be diligent about locking their doors and protecting themselves against unwanted intruders.
The North Hudson Police Department acknowledged the support and quick response by St. Croix EMS and Rescue and by the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department that assisted with a neighborhood canvass and scene processing.
