Highway construction: Earlier than expected
The state's Department of Transportation has moved up the schedule for the Highway 35/65 construction project affecting River Falls. Instead of starting in mid-April, as announced earlier, the work will begin Monday morning, March 29. Striped barrels have already been placed on the highway shoulders of a four-mile stretch.
Highway 35 on the north end of River Falls all the way south to the intersection of Highway 65 and Cemetery Road will be completely repaved.
The Cemetery Road intersection will be ripped apart to make way for the construction of a roundabout.
