High school football: Hudson 42, River Falls 7

The Hudson High School football team retained possession of the Little Brown Jug for the third straight year and improved to 7-0 in the process by defeating River Falls, 42-7, Friday night, Oct. 5, at Newton Field.

Hudson, ranked No. 6 in this week's WisSports.Net Division 1 coaches' poll, got on the board in the opening minute on a 2-yard touchdown run by Dan Loughney, three plays after Mike Hommes returned the opening kickoff to the Wildcat 22.
