High school credit union to have ribbon cutting
A new WESTconsin Credit Union office will open later this month at River Falls High School. The office will be located on the second floor in the school's Cat Shop. A ribbon cutting for the new office is set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27.
The high school credit union will be staffed with student tellers as part of an independent study through the Future Business Leaders of America program. A WESTconsin employee will be there to supervise.
High school students and staff will have immediate access to financial resources, information and products. Students may also visit and ask about establishing credit, building a retirement plan or basic budgeting questions.
WESTconsin was selected for the office opening last year by a high school team from among three local banking applicants.
