High Five Tour 2014 visits Baldwin on a mission to thank nation’s military

BALDWIN -- The Wounded Warriors Family Support’s red, white and blue 2014 Ford Mustang GT500 is traveling to 65 cities in 48 states on a mission to say “thank you” and show appreciation to our country’s military families for their sacrifices. Local residents are invited to show their support for military families by visiting River Valley Ford in Baldwin Thursday Aug. 7, from 5:30 p.m. -- 7:30 p.m. Guests are invited to sign the car with a message of support to our country’s veterans and their families.

The High Five Tour 2014’s mission is also to raise funds to build “smart homes” for wounded warriors and their families. One hundred percent of all funds donated to the tour will go directly to the construction of the homes. The specially designed homes are custom-built to provide the severely wounded veterans quality of life and independence that otherwise would not be possible.

Wounded Warriors Family Support partners with Ford Motor Company throughout the tour. The Mustang will stop at select Ford dealerships throughout the country as well as community events, veterans’ organizations, military bases and race tracks.

“We are honored to host this event again this year” said Andy Lamb and Corey Hawkins, owners of River Valley Ford in Baldwin. “The sacrifices made by military members and their families are immeasurable, and events like this give them the recognition they deserve.”

River Valley Ford in Baldwin is one of only two Wisconsin Ford dealerships given hosting a High Five Tour event this year.
