Hammond woman hurt after 'cycle crash
A Hammond woman was transported to Baldwin Area Medical Center Sunday afternooon after the motorcycle she was driving ran onto the shoulder and overturned, ejecting her.
Laura Kasel, 36, was taken by Ellsworth Area Ambulance following the 1:18 p.m. crash. The extent of her injuries wasn't disclosed.
Pierce County Sheriff's Department deputy Pete Koch said Kasel was traveling on CTH Y, just north of 870th Avenue in the town of Martell when the crash occurred.
Ellsworth Fire crews also assisted at the scene.
