Growing a garden
The River Falls Public Montessori students and their families spent most of spring creating a garden space at the Academy Building, 211 N. Fremont Street.
The project was designed to enhance the esthetics of the outdoor space, serve as an outdoor educational space for lessons related to science and nature and to grow food for snacks and food preparation projects in the fall.
Pictured left to right are students Devlan Laidlaw, Ethan Vivoda, Braden Reed and Alton Lesneski. Also helping with the project but not pictured are Leif Clement, Aiden Mitchell and Isaac Mitchell shoveling mulch out of a truck. Second grade student, Albert Dohrer (left), plants one of the many plants that are now in the new outdoor space at the public Montessori.
