Hackman Town & Country is set to open in the spring of 2012.

The 14,000-square-foot retail store will be a Hardware Hank & Purina dealership. The majority of the store will be dedicated to traditional hardware merchandise and feed but they also will have a unique gift line for all ages including: jewelry, candles, cards and gift wrap, soaps, lotions, toys and decorations. Rentals, photo kiosk, housewares, hunting and sporting goods and an outdoor garden center will also be incorporated.

The Hackmans moved to Roberts eight years ago with their three children Katelyn, Michala and Wyatt, now ages 16, 14 and 8, when Ivan was transferred to the area with Target. Brenda has been the Hazel Mackin Community Library Director for almost four years. Ivan and Brenda chose Hardware Hank (United Hardware) and Purina to work with due to the support they offer new businesses and because education is important to them and to both companies in what they sell. They designed the store's break room to also be used for seminars to educate people on taking care of their animals, choosing quality feed, learning painting and gardening tips and more.

Hackman Town & Country's goal is to provide service and convenience for those in town and out of town along with providing excellent customer service that sometimes is a challenge to find in the "big box stores." A wonderful perk for customers will also be free coffee in addition to popcorn that will be offered daily.
