Alice Cranston scored three goals and Devin Roen posted her fourth straight shutout between the pipes as the St. Croix Valley Fusion girls' hockey team ran its record to 9-0-1 with a 7-0 win over the St. Paul (Harding) Blades Tuesday night at Wildcat Centre.

Karlyn Sturtevant added two goals in the win and Nikki Plunkett and Tanis Klingler scored one goal each.

The Fusion will take on head coach Matt Cranston's alma mater, Fergus Falls, Minn., in the first game of the Red Wing Holiday Tournament Monday night at 7 p.m. in Red Wing. Tuesday they will face either Red Wing or Faribault, Minn.

The St. Croix Valley Fusion is a cooperative girls' hockey team made up of players from River Falls, Baldwin-Woodville, St. Croix Central and Spring Valley high schools. They currently lead the Big Rivers Conference with a record of 3-0-0 and resume conference play Tuesday, Jan. 6 at the United Center in Baldwin against Menomonie (0-5 overall, 0-3 BRC).
