A public River Falls City Council Candidate Forum takes place 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the City Council Chambers located in the lower level of City Hall, 222 Lewis St.

There are four Council Seats on the ballot for the April 2 Spring Election: Alderperson At Large (city wide) seat now held by Randy Kusilek and contested by Diane Odeen; Alderperson District 1 -- (open seat) candidates are Dave Cronk and Dave Ostness; Alderperson District 2 now held by Jim Nordgren and contested by Eunice Beauchman; Alderperson District 3 now held by David Reese and contested by Katie Chaffee.

All candidates have been invited to attend this panel-style forum and questions will be taken from the audience.

According to Dawn Wills, city communications coordinator, the sponsors "AAUW River Falls and the River Falls Area Optimist Club along with River Falls Community Television is encouraging citizen participation in the candidate forum."

The candidate forum will not be aired live but it will be recorded and played back on River Falls Community Television Channel 16 at various times leading up to the April 2 election.
