The River Falls U13 boy's Wildcat travelling soccer team participated in the Olympic-style opening ceremony for the Schwan's USA Cup, an international soccer tournament held at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn., last month. Teams from 25 states and 16 countries took part in the tournament.

 As the only team from Wisconsin, the team followed the state flag into the stadium carrying the River Falls Wildcat Soccer banner and watched as the team from Japan had the honor of lighting the torch. Team members include, front row from left: Michael Smits, Ryan Beck, Harry Pound, Travis Spafford, Thomas Scott, and Damian Overby. Back row, Hunter Henk, club secretary Alan Pound, Derick Hansen, Erik Warner, Raul Sanchez and his dad, coach Raul Sanchez, Hunter Damsgard, Justin Duran and Melissa Miles, club president.
