Fish, swim, relax
On Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13, St. Croix County will host a Park Appreciation Weekend for park users. This entitles everyone to free entrance fees on those two days at the county's day-use parks, including at Glen Hills Park, Homestead Parklands on Perch Lake, and Troy Beach.
Shown above, Troy Beach Park is a seven-acre strip on the St. Croix River, north of River Falls, 490 County Road F.
All three county parks offer swimming, fishing or a place to get away and relax. Donna Seim, former owner of Homestead Parklands on Perch Lake, will present a family history of the property. She will speak at the delta, near the history kiosk, on both days (weather permitting) from 1-5 p.m.
