First Street project affected by high water

The Stillwater Lift Bridge was closed to traffic Monday morning because of the rising level of the St. Croix River, and will remain closed until further notice from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The closure is expected to cause an increase in traffic through Hudson as commuters use the Interstate 94 bridge as an alternate route to and from the Twin Cities.
