--Smith, from St. Cloud, Minn., has a major emphasis in ceramics and a minor in glass. Smith grew up in a construction background, with a father as a contractor. Through the creation and construction of his ceramic vessels, he integrates multiple thrown and assembled parts to arrive at his finished forms with special attention towards positive and negative space and the rigidity of line throughout the form.

--Gonstead, of Baldwin, is a double major in fine arts and marketing communications with emphasis in painting, graphic design, and advertising. His work is heavily inspired by Lego building blocks. He creates his work by putting together wood and other non-traditional materials. His design creations are tactile and inviting, encouraging the viewer to be involved in the experience by touching the artwork.

--Krupke, of Monroe, has a double major in fine arts and art education with emphasis in printmaking and painting. On display will be her moody and contemplative lithography prints about transformation inspired by Dante’s Inferno.

--Reed, of Buffalo, Minn., is a fine arts major with emphasis in glass, sculpture and international studies. On exhibit are installation-based sculptures of hot sculpted and blown glass human heads, donuts and buildings. The glass is coupled with everyday materials such as cellophane plastic, steel, packing peanuts and sprinkles that communicate the idea of being overwhelmed and overtaken.

An exhibition reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday,  April 11. The event is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sundays from 2-4 p.m.
