Don Kruger, 67
Don Kruger, 67 of River Falls, died on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
Don was born on Aug. 5, 1942, in Red Wing, Minn., to Starr and Grace (Enberg) Kruger. The family lived in Hager City.
He attended Wilson Grade School and he graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1960.
He was married to Donna M. (Krauss) Kruger, and has lived in River Falls his entire life.
For over 40 years, Don was a co-owner of Quality Built Homes in River Falls and a lifelong member of the First Covenant Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and most of all his family. His greatest joy the last few years has been his grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Starr and Grace.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna of River Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Pamela Kruger of Comstock; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Brent Larson of River Falls; grandchildren: Kylie and Morgan Larson and Rachel Maki; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Carole Kruger of River Falls and Richard "Dick" and Renee Kruger of River Falls. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at the First Covenant Church in River Falls. Memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
The interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be given to the First Covenant Church Building Fund.
