DeLoris Clay, 82

DeLoris Emma Clay, affectionately called "Lolly," 82 years old, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of Shakopee, Minn., died Friday, August 13, 2010, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minn.

DeLoris was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Shakopee, the daughter of Oscar and Bertha (Mueller) Siedow. She married John H. Clay on June 16, 1951, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shakopee. She worked as a dental technician for Dr. Huber in Shakopee prior to marriage and becoming a full-time homemaker, raising three children.

DeLoris was a member of the Shakopee Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4046 and the River Falls Women of the Moose Lodge Number 594. She was a longtime member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Shakopee; and Ezekiel Lutheran Church of River Falls. DeLoris loved to cook and garden, watch soap operas, go to the movies, and dancing with her beloved husband, John.

She is survived by sons, Steven (Jane) Clay, Warren Clay; daughter, Diane (Co) Vu; grandchildren, John, Matthew, and Nathan Clay, Erica, Christopher, and Jessica Vu, and Melissa (Reece)Vu-Ringstad; many stepchildren and grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and sister-in-law, Maryann Siedow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2005, parents, Oscar and Bertha; infant child, Barbara Jean; brothers, Alfred (Loretta) Siedow, Walter Siedow; sisters, Lucille (John) Richardson and Audrey (Patrick) McGovern.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 19, at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, 202 S. 2nd St., River Falls, with Reverend John Henning officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls. Visitation will be at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, 225 S. 3rd St., River Falls, from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, and at the church Thursday one hour prior to the service.
