Deer leads to three-vehicle crash in rural Pierce County

Sunday morning Pierce County deputies responded to a crash with one serious injury on Hwy. 10 just east of County Road OO in the town of Trimbelle. Tyler Stees, 19, Hager City, was driving west in a mini-van when he hit a small deer crossing the highway. The deer was thrown in the air and into the eastbound lane of traffic. The animal fell through the windshield of a car driven by Gregory J. Spindler, 37, Shakopee, Minn., and landed on his passenger, Sarah A. Spindler, also of Shakopee.
