Dick Cashman, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce’s recreation committee announced a bus would travel the city picking up children and dropping them off following the party. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Barry were in charge of parade activities. A party at the junior high for sixth-, seventh- and eighth- and ninth-graders featured bingo, a record hop and refreshments, ending at 9:30 p.m.

High school and college students were treated with a dance at the high school gym starting at 8 p.m. with music by Dvid Zerahn and his Orchestra. Dance was over at 11 p.m. with refreshments served throughout.
