River Falls native Karyn Bye was set to be part of Olympic history when women's ice hockey becomes an Olympic sport for the first time in the 1998 Winter Olympic Games beginning this week in Japan.


The seeds of her dream to play in the Olympics were sowed when she watched the U.S. men's team take home the gold in 1980.

The new River Falls Public Library was showcasing works by artists Douglas Johnson, Anne Kerfoot and Charles Keenan.
