Dawn M. Davison died April 28 after a courageous 10-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born Aug. 10, 1957, in Red Wing, Minn., to Donald and Audrey Murphy. Dawn was raised in Ellsworth, Wis., graduating from Ellsworth High School in 1975. After graduating from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wis., she moved to River Falls, Wis., and enjoyed a 36-year career at the River Falls Area Hospital and Allina Hospitals.
Dawn lived a full life in a short period of time. She married Dan Davison on May 30, 1986. They have two children, Lauren and Patrick Davison. Dawn loved working in her gardens, spending time at their cabin on Cedar Lake, and creating heartfelt cards and crafts which she shared with her family and friends. She also loved family vacations, which took her from coast to coast with frequent trips to the shores of her beloved Lake Superior.
Survived by husband Dan Davison; children Lauren (Chad Howard) and Patrick Davison; mother, Audrey Murphy; siblings Debbie Murphy, Gary Murphy (Julie), David Murphy (Tammy), Jerome Murphy (Barb), and Judi Helmer (Scott); and several nieces and nephews.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Donald Murphy, and father- and mother-in-law, Jack and Eunice Davison.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday night at the church and for 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Bridget's Catholic Church and the American Cancer Society.
