City worker alleges wrongful termination
A former Stevens Point city employee, Kelly Reith, has filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Equal Rights Division saying he was wrongfully terminated.
He was fired Jan. 18, about 10 days after receiving a positive performance review from the city. He lost his job one day after he sent an e-mail criticizing the city's new Wellness Incentive Program.
He alleged that the program favored married people more than single parents. His attorney calls it a case of retaliation.
