NOTICE TO BIDDERS
COMMUNITY SAFE ROOM – HOFFMAN PARK
The City of River Falls will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the Kinni Room of City Hall, located at 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, Wisconsin for “Community Safe Room – Hoffman Park”. The work includes construction of 2,961 square foot Community Safe room.
Said work shall be in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by the Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. of New Richmond, WI. Any technical questions concerning this project shall be directed to Dave Simons, Project Manager with SEH, at 715-246-9906. Other questions may be directed to Tony Steiner, City Planner, at 715-426-3424.

No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of River Falls, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and furnish a performance bond and payment bond in the total amount of the Contract within ten (10) days after the award of said Contract.
All bids shall be in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “Community Safe Room – Hoffman Park". The City of River Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City.
Contractors shall be aware that the project is partially funded by the State of Wisconsin and FEMA and will be required to comply with all state and federal requirements. Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with minimum wages and labor standards as determined by the federal government and State of Wisconsin, Department of Workforce Development Wage Rate Determination.
