CITY OF RIVER FALLS: July & August, 2014 Hydrant Flushing

Monday, July 14, 2014 - 11:20pm

CITY OF RIVER FALLS
HYDRANT FLUSHING NOTICE
(WEATHER PERMITTING)
City Hydrants will be flushed in Boulder Ridge, Sterling Ponds, Highview Meadows, Royal Oaks, Spring Creek, Knollwood, Rolling Hills and Quail Ridge on July 14, 16, 18, 21, 23 and 25, 2014 during normal business hours.
All remaining City Hydrants will be flushed at 3:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. Friday, August 1, 2014.
While flushing hydrants near your home or business, you may experience temporary discoloration of the water in your home. This discoloration is harmless, and generally consists of precipitates which do not affect the safety of water consumption. If you notice that your water is discolored, you can clear this issue by running water faucets inside your home/business until the water clears.
It may appear we are ignoring our own water conservation philosophy. However, the process of periodically flushing fire hydrants is an important preventative maintenance activity to insure the integrity of the water system and deliver quality water to our customers. If water does not clear or if you have any further questions, please contact:
