CITY OF RIVER FALLS: 2013 Fall Clean-Up

2013 ANNUAL Fall CLEAN-UP
STARTS MONDAY, October 21, 2013
This year’s annual clean up will again be held at the City Public Works Garage located at 950 Benson Street. 2013 dates and times for Fall Clean-up are as follows:
• Mon. – Fri., October 21-25 - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Sat., October 26 - 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Acceptable Items include: Carpet/pad, large, bulky items, furniture, misc. garbage, mattress/box spring, empty propane tanks, and minor household construction debris. Acceptable Items that will be charged a fee include: Car Tires $5, Air Conditioners $16, Computers or Printers $8, Truck Tires $4, Microwaves $4, TV’s & Monitors 20” or less $10, TV’s & Monitors >20” $32, Appliances $16, Dehumidifiers $8. Any calls regarding questions on what can be discarded should be directed to Advanced Disposal at 866-983-6542.
Unacceptable Items Include: Oil, paint, car batteries, special or hazardous waste, chemicals, or waste that is generated by a contractor. Advanced Disposal reserves the right to refuse hazardous materials. Pierce County Solid Waste (715) 273-3092 does offer a clean sweep program each September for disposal of many hazardous waste products generated by City of River Falls residents.
Eligibility: Fall Clean-up is provided only for residents in the City of River Falls who are currently billed for garbage service by Advanced Disposal (formerly Veolia). Residents bringing items for disposal will be asked to present a form of identification and a copy of a recent invoice for City garbage service from Advanced Disposal. People who do not qualify will not be allowed to dispose of their goods.
A similar spring clean-up will run for one week, beginning the second Monday of May.
