City approves $150,000 loan for new NCCM facility
After a closed session discussion at the end of its regular meeting Tuesday, the River Falls City Council voted to authorize a loan to NCCM company for the construction of a new building in Whitetail Ridge Industrial Park. The $150,000 loan is to be paid back over seven years at 4% interest, according to City Finance Director/Assistant Administrator Julie Bergstrom.
Bergstrom said NCCM plans to build a 26,000 square foot facility on the 4.77 acres it previously received from the city.
NCCM was formed in 2008. The company creates mill roll products used for wringing, oiling, tension and strip control by metal processors. In 2009, NCCM was named Emerging Business of the Year in St. Croix County. The company now exports products to 33 countries around the world.
NCCM now rents space in the River Falls Industrial Center, but, Bergstrom said, the company plans to start constructing its new facility as soon as possible. She said the company would likely break ground this fall.
“We’re happy to welcome NCCM to Whitetail Ridge,” Bergstrom said.
