Celebrate summer at a beef roast
Juliet Tomkins and Prescott Bergh invite the community to a Summer Solstice beef roast on Sunday, June 22, from noon to 4 p.m. on their farm where they raise grass fed beef cattle. They will be serving a luscious, beef roast that has been marinated in beer from Rush River Brewing Company and slow roasted outside on a grill by Chef Mike Phillips of the Craftsman Restaurant in Minneapolis.
Those attending are asked to bring a salad or dessert to share and chairs to sit in. Beef, beverages, plates and utensils will be provided.
A tour of the farm will be held at 3 p.m. There will be grass fed beef for sale and orders taken for delivery.
Four Winds Farm is located at N8806 600th St. in rural River Falls: Go east on Hwy. 29 eight miles to 650th St., turn left; go ½ mile and turn right on 870th St., go 1 ¼ miles and turn left on 600th St.
