Carmen Jack, 91, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009.
She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in River Falls, to Grace Larson Sewart and Harry C. Sewart. She was the granddaughter of August "Gus" Larson who immigrated to the U.S. in 1872 and served five terms as sheriff of St. Croix County.
Carmen's husband, George P. Jack, preceded her in death as did her sisters Helen Carlson and Lorraine Detmar, both of Baldwin.
Carmen is survived by daughter, Dixie Roberts and husband Don of Houston, Texas; sons: Tracy G. Jack of River Falls and Ted Jack and wife Judy of Hayward; grandchildren: Todd Roberts Sr. and wife Antoinette of Austin, Texas, Reid Roberts of Houston, Texas, Shelly Jack Johnson and husband Randy of Oakdale, Minn., Sgt. Christopher Jack, currently serving in Iraq, and Jennifer Jack of Cottage Grove, Minn.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Michelle Roberts, Jennifer Roberts Speyrer and husband Tim, Todd Roberts Jr. and fiancé Stacy Leura, Michael Roberts of Austin, Texas; Jason and Justin Roberts of Houston, Texas; Tyler and Nathan Reid Johnson of Oakdale, Minn. and T.J. and Meghan Jack of Ramsey, Minn., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Up until the past few years, Carmen was an active member of River Falls Methodist Church serving in the Sunshine Club and working on the church paper.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
