Bernard C. "Bernie" Cobian, 71
Bernard C. "Bernie" Cobian, 71 of River Falls, died on Sunday, March 23, at his residence.
He was born to Bernard "Ben" and Mary (Reis) Cobian, on Jan. 13, 1943.
He attended Donegal Grade School and graduated from River Falls High School in 1960. Served in the Wisconsin National Guard where he was deployed to Fort Lewis Washington in 1961. He worked for Nor-Lake, Inc., in Hudson, Wis., then for 3M for 40 years.
Upon retiring from 3M, he spent the remaining years on his farm pursing hobbies of bird and wild animal watching, old and new cars, and keeping up with his friends.
Bernie is survived by four siblings: Herbert (Irma) Cobian of Delavan, Wis., Marlys (Herbert) Tauchen of Bonduel, Wis., Francis (Joyce) Cobian of Seboygan, Wis., and Kenneth (Susan) Cobian of St. Anthony, Minn.; special friend: Carol Becker of Roberts, Wis.; many nieces; nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, "Ben"; mother, Mary; and sisters: Bernadine Cobian, Marion Neaton, and Mildred Drewiske; and brother, Norman Cobian.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's (Big River) Catholic Church, River Falls, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial to follow at Cherma Cemetery.
Memorials to be given to St. Mary's (Big River) Catholic Church for Masses.
