Badgers to take on Michigan tonight
The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team will try to stay undefeated in Big Ten play tonight (Tuesday) when it hosts Michigan.
The Badgers are 5-0 in the conference and 15-2 overall and they've got a nine-game winning streak after beating Northwestern by 12 at home on Saturday.
Michigan is 1-5 in the league and 5-13 overall. Michigan Head Coach John Beilein blames a leaky defense that has given up 71-points a game - the most in the Big Ten.
The Wolverines also have the second-highest defensive field-goal percentage at 45.
The Badgers won at Michigan by 16 on Jan. 2. Freshman Jon Leuer scored a Wisconsin rookie-record 25 points that night.
Monday, the Badgers jumped six places to 11th in both major polls.
The Marquette men dropped eight places to 21st in the Associated Press Sportswriters' poll and seven spots to No. 20 in the coaches' survey.
The Golden Eagles lost at Louisville and Connecticut in the last five days. They'll host DePaul on Saturday.
