Badger women can't hold off Ohio State

The University of Wisconsin women lost for the 11th straight time to Ohio State, 79-74 Sunday in Columbus.

The Badgers only shot 33-percent in the first half, as they went down by seven at the break.

They tied the game twice in the second half, but Ohio State used an 8-0 run to go in front for good. Marscilla Parker scored a career-high 32 points for the 16th-ranked Buckeyes.

Ohio State out-shot the Badgers 48-38 percent for the afternoon, but Wisconsin had two more rebounds.

Still, the Buckeyes improved to 6-and-1 in the Big Ten and 15-and-3 overall.

Janese Banks scored 18 and Jolene Anderson had 16 for the Badgers, who fell to 1-6 in the conference and 8-9 overall.

They'll host Penn State on Thursday night.
