Authorities bust big pot-growing operation
Almost $7.5 million worth of marijuana was seized Oct. 31 in a raid at a farm in Racine County.
An anonymous tip led Greenfield police officers to a high-tech growing operation in a pole barn in the town of Raymond. Media reports said numerous law enforcement agencies conducted a search of the property.
They found 1,800 pounds of marijuana; $100,000 in cash; and a number of firearms. No one was immediately arrested, but officials say charges are expected.
