August T. Marcotte, 57, of Baldwin, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at his home.

August was born on Dec. 9, 1950, to August Sr. and Violet (Biedler) Marcotte in Milwaukee.

He grew up in Woodville where he graduated from Baldwin-Woodville High School. After graduating, August served his country proudly in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. After finishing his time with the Army, he came home, attended college at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, and married the love of his life, Roxanne (Sittlow) of Baldwin.

This marriage was blessed with three sons.

August will be missed by his wife, Roxanne (Sittlow); sons: August V (Jennifer) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jacque (Kate) of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., and Sean of River Falls; grandchildren: Jake and Karis of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Aaron of River Falls; brothers: Wayne Tunheim of Baldwin, Vince (Paulette) Tunheim of River Falls, and Tracy (Kim) Tunheim of Balsam Lake; sisters: Linda (Perry) Swenson of Hudson, Sandy Linehan of River Falls, and Coreen (Bob) Loida of Ellsworth; mother-in-law, Marge Rasmussen of Baldwin; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Jerry (Colleen) Sittlow of Somerset, Mike (Darlene) of Hammond, and Dan (Kathy) Sittlow of San Carlos, Calif., Janice (Dave) Trebesh of Hudson, Debbie (Jim) Richard of Hudson, and Linda Sittlow of Glenwood City; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ron and Sherry, Dennis and Teri, and Rodney.

August is preceded in death by his parents, August and Violet (Biedler) Marcotte.

A funeral service for August Marcotte were held Friday, July 4, at the Baldwin American Legion with Fr. Harris from St. Bridget Catholic Church officiating.

Pallbearers were Dennis Foerster, Rodney Johnson, Scott Husby, Bill Smith, Jerry Emmert, and Andy Lindus.

Burial followed in the afternoon with the Baldwin American Legion giving full military honors.

Services were in the care of O'Connell Funeral Home & Countryside Crematory - Baldwin; 715-684-3434.
