Artful Garden Tour is this weekend
The Hudson Womens' Club Artful Garden Tour is this weekend, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendees can tour beautiful gardens, see artists demonstrating and displaying their works and buy a commemorative poster.
The official poster for this 10th annual garden was designed by award-winning artist Anne Kerfoot and will be available for sale at the Octagon House and at her garden during the tour.
The gardens were carefully selected for beauty and diversity. Those attending can see a true Victorian garden; a courtyard garden designed to rekindle memories; a terraced garden with a fountain and fish pond; a 3000 square foot garden created as a sign of hope and faith; a garden with a rose arbor and three-tiered fountain; a garden developed from a cow pasture into woods, orchard, many theme gardens, waterfall and statuary; a garden with water-use-friendly, heat, drought and deer-resistant plants; a nursery with ponds and koi; and a garden showcasing unique perennials and shrubs.

Anne Kerfoot will be signing her watercolor posters in her garden. Buyers of these limited edition posters can also purchase Anne's posters and a number of previous years' posters at the Octagon House.
The tour begins at the Octagon House, where tickets may be purchased on the days of the tour. Tickets are $12. The Womens' Club donates proceeds to the hanging flower baskets in Hudson. For more information about the tour, call 386-7787.
