Annual 'It Takes A Village' Haiti benefit concert

On Sunday, Feb. 16, River Falls church choirs and the River Falls Gospel Choir will present the 11th annual “It Takes a Village” Concert, a benefit concert for the people of Haiti. The concert will be held at 4 p.m. at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, 202 S. Second St.

The concert will be held at 4 p.m. at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, 202 S. Second St.

Several different genres and styles of music will be performed. Each choir will present two numbers and Shawn Gudmunson, director of the St. Croix Falls High School Choral Music program, will lead the 100-plus voice massed choir in two numbers to conclude the concert. There will also be an audience hymn sing, and project director Curt Larson will give an update on the school project in Ganthier, Haiti.

A free will offering will be taken with all proceeds going to support the students and teachers of the school. A dessert reception will follow the concert.
