The Friday late afternoon/evening opening at the Gallery 120 in downtown River Falls was called a "Hasel Affair," which translates into a family affair of artists. Local dentist Bob Hasel (far right) and his wife Lynn, daughter Amy Jo Ley and granddaughter Lucy Jo Ley (far left) all contributed to the art exhibit.

Bob's artwork display is pottery, and proceeds from his sales will be donated to children's dental and medical fund; Lynn's artwork is watercolors; Lucy Jo's is jewelry and weaving; while Amy Jo's is sculpture. Other exhibiting family members are Bob's son Matthew Hasel and Matthew's wife, Julie Hughes.

The piece shown in the picture is Julie's and called "Little Benediction." Owner Illa June Brown-Pratt called the "Hasel Affair" one of the most unusual, diverse exhibits ever at Gallery 120. People can stop by to see it and buy anything they like through Saturday, Oct. 29. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Gallery 120 has the same address, 120 N.
