Adolph "Bud" Hanken, 85
Adolph "Bud" Hanken, 85, died on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Prescott Nursing Home.
Bud was born on Sept. 20, 1928, to Adolph and Henrietta (Bohlken) Hanken in Prescott, Wis. He served in the U.S. Army. Bud married Joyce Simpson in April of 1961.
He enjoyed spending time at his cabin, traveling with his wife, fishing, hunting and going to Florida.
Bud is survived by four children, Cheri (Michael) Johnson, Rick (Candy) Hanken, Daniel Hanken (Barb Arntzen), and Roxanne (Steven) Van Horn; 11 grandchildren, Chad Buckley, Brian (Krystal) and Nicholas (Beth) Johnson, Tiffany (Morgan) Le Naour, Amanda and Gary Hanken, Kurt, Luke (Lindsey) Van Horn, Cassie (Joe) Butler, and Douglas and Dalton Hanken; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mathilde Most and Mary Ann Bolhman; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; parents; and siblings, Raymond, Henrietta, Arvin and Ralph.
Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Prescott, with Rev. Tim Rosenow officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, at St. Paul Lutheran Church and again on Friday one hour before the service. Burial will be held at Pine Glen Cemetery with Military Honors performed by Prescott American Legion.
