The Hudson Hot Air Affair brought out pirates with chests of treasure at the St. Croix River Cruises trip on June 18. Marcia and Larry Larson donned pirate garb for the 2019 theme of Pirates Fly’n the Croix-ribbean. The Larsons have been committee members off and on for 30 years and live near New Richmond.

A statue depicting a grandfather and grandson was dedicated during the program, by River Falls American Legion member Neal Anderson. The statue, Anderson said, is meant to represent veterans sharing their memories with a younger generation.
